VA announces opportunities to help veterans experiencing homeslessness


The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs published three grant opportunities aimed at helping veterans who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

On October 27, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) published three grant opportunities aimed at helping veterans who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness. These funding opportunities also come at a time when new data from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) highlights that veteran homelessness has decreased 11 percent since 2020 and 55.3 percent since 2010 and in 2022, VA has placed nearly 31,000 veterans experiencing homelessness into permanent housing.
