Back on January 16, 2025, the Pulaski County Clerk’s Office was forced to shut down due to a cybersecurity incident that disrupted its ability to issue marriage licenses, process voter registration applications, and handle real estate documents.

After extensive efforts to restore operations, the office confirms no personal data was stolen or compromised.

"The IT department in my office acted swiftly, which prevented any malicious acts. We were able to get a large part of our servers restored within the first seven days of the incident," said Pulaski County Circuit and County Clerk Terri Hollingsworth.

In response to the breach, the office has implemented new security measures, including a robust anti-phishing system and staff training to identify suspicious emails.

Additionally, email addresses have been changed from ".com" to ".gov" to enhance protection.
