Poll workers sought for Benton, Washington counties

In any election year, Benton and Washington counties need anywhere from 100 to 120 new poll workers.

FAYETTEVILLE — Local election officials say they're struggling to find poll workers as they prepare for the 2020 presidential election year.

Kim Dennison, Benton County's election coordinator, said last week she needs 350 poll workers for a presidential election and has 283 committed to working next year's elections.

"It's about normal going into a big election year," Dennison said. "People have moved or passed away or found full-time jobs where they can't work elections any more." Read more.
