Baxter County Assessor Jayme Nicholson was recently chosen as Arkansas’ Outstanding Assessor of the Year by the Arkansas chapter of the International Association of Assessing Officers.

Nicholson received the award in mid-November at the quarterly meeting of county assessors in Little Rock.

“I was completely caught off guard, but I was very honored,” Nicholson said. “It makes you feel good to be recognized for your hard work.”

Voting for the award was carried out by write-in ballots. The Arkansas chapter of the IAAO includes assessors, their staff and appraisal companies. The organization counts more than 300 members in Arkansas. READ MORE.
