Faulkner County Judge appoints new coroner

Thorn replaces Robert Edwards, who was appointed interim coroner when the late Faulkner County Coroner Patrick Moore died in September. Edwards will become the deputy coroner.

Faulkner County Judge announced his appointment for coroner during the quorum court meeting Tuesday.​

“Today I notified Jessica Thorn that she was my appointment to fill the county coroner’s role. Robert Edwards will become the deputy county coroner.”

Edwards was named interim coroner when Pat Moore, who had held the role for more than 28 years, died in September. At the meeting, Baker thanked him for taking the helm and praised Edwards and Thorn for keeping the coroner’s office running smoothly.
