Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders late Wednesday evening declared an emergency declaration following severe storms that swept across the Natural State.

The emergency declaration specifically addressed severe storms, tornados and flooding that effected Arkansas over the course of several hours Wednesday night.

The declaration called out property damage that includes numerous power lines that were downed, creating the need for commercial vehicles to haul heavy equipment, oversized loads, transformers, necessary hardware, and other transmission and distribution equipment to line crews for the purpose of restoring power to Arkansans.

Sanders signed an executive order earlier on Wednesday to authorize the release of $250,000 the Governor’s Disaster Response and Recovery Fund to help with recovery efforts.
