35 counties earned AAC safety awards
LITTLE ROCK — The Association of Arkansas Counties awarded safety awards at its annual conference honoring counties that scored at 80 percent or higher on AAC’s safety survey, maintained a loss ratio of no more than 60 percent and had not been on the worker’s compensation hazardous employer program during 2010 or 2011.
“Safety is key in the dynamic environment of county workers,” Chris Villines, AAC executive director, said. “It is important to award those entities that have identified the safety of their workforce as one of their prime goals. Congratulations to all the safety award recipients.”
Counties receiving annual AAC safety awards were:
Arkansas, Baxter, Benton, Boone, Chicot, Clark, Clay, Cleburne, Cleveland, Craighead, Dallas, Desha, Drew, Franklin, Garland, Howard, Independence, Lawrence, Lincoln, Marion, Mississippi, Nevada, Perry, Pike, Poinsett, Polk, Pope, Prairie, Scott, Sebastian, Sevier, Sharp, Stone, Van Buren and Yell counties.
