Gladys Nettles named December Betty J. Lewis Unsung Hero

The honor is bestowed by the Black History Celebration Committee, comprised of SAU Tech staff and community members.

Mrs. Gladys F. Nettles is a native and resident of Camden, Arkansas. She was the first African American woman to win the office of Ouachita County Circuit Clerk. She was sworn in Monday, January 2, 2017, to this office and now is in her third term as an elected county official. Read more.
