• The AAC's Risk Management Fund is not insurance. It is actually a fund in which counties acting cooperatively through their association can:
• Manage their actual risk through good loss control practices
• Obtain the protection needed without paying for protection actually not needed.
• The result is a better product at less cost
• Preserves tort immunity

• Participating member counties control the program through an elected seven-member Board of Trustees
